Regularly checking in with yourself—identifying what you're feeling, where it's located in your body, and how it relates to your chakras—can help you navigate life more effectively and maintain balance. ~ Rachel Harwood

*This is the third post in the Energy Healing blog post series:

In our last blog post, we delved into the energy anatomy of the chakras, examining what they are, how they impact us, and how energy healing techniques can help restore balance.

Today, we'll explore meridians. Although I don’t emphasize meridians in my work, they are worth discussing if you're interested. There are 12 main meridians in the body that run vertically, facilitating energy flow between organs. Blockages in these meridians, much like blockages in chakras, can disrupt overall energy flow, affecting other energy centers or organs connected to those meridians. Keeping this energy flow unobstructed is essential for maintaining balance and inner peace.

Regularly checking in with yourself—identifying what you're feeling, where it's located in your body, and how it relates to your chakras—can help you navigate life more effectively and maintain balance.

Understanding Meridians and Auras

Energy also extends beyond our physical bodies, forming what is known as our aura. I have training in sound healing, which involves working with the biofield—a field of energy extending about five feet from our bodies. This field remains constant, but significant life events, whether positive or negative, leave energetic imprints. Using sound tools like tuning forks, we can address areas of fear, anxiety, or loneliness within this biofield.

A fascinating part of this practice is the ability to pinpoint when these imprints were made. For example, we might identify an imprint from around age 10 when you felt out of control and explore what was happening in your life at that time.

Unlike the biofield, the aura fluctuates. For instance, you might feel overwhelmed in crowded spaces as your energy mingles with others. This fluctuation is something we often sense but might not fully understand. You might find it helpful to retreat and regain calm in such situations. Managing your aura can be beneficial. Spending time in nature helps you absorb positive energy by intentionally expanding your energetic field.

Conversely, in crowded spaces, you might focus on drawing your energy closer to yourself. These practices can enhance your understanding and control of your energy for your well-being. We’ll cover more about these techniques, including how visualization can help navigate these energetic dynamics. Remember, our bodies are constantly influenced by external factors—sounds, vibrations, and colors—that affect our energy, whether we’re aware of it or not.

A helpful practice for preparing for sleep is doing a body scan. This can be done even mentally and serves as a way to check in with your body and energy. By identifying areas needing extra attention, you can breathe love or peace into those areas, promoting restful sleep.

This simple practice allows you to assess your own energy. It's particularly useful when you're in uncomfortable situations; noting where you feel tightness or other sensations in your body can help interpret your experience.

It’s important to recognize that different people might experience the same situation differently. For instance, one person might feel tightness in their throat due to difficulty expressing themselves, while another might feel it in their stomach due to a sense of powerlessness. Paying attention to where you feel these sensations can deepen your understanding of your energetic body. In the next posts, we’ll explore more energy healing techniques, practical tools, and tips to incorporate these methods into your life and for those you care about.

In the next post, I’ll share practices and techniques you can integrate into your daily life. Then, we’ll discuss the importance of intention and visualization in energy healing. Finally, we'll discuss practical ways to integrate these healing methods into your daily life.
