High School education is a critical time in a child’s
development, focusing on social-emotional growth and emotional regulation to enhance overall self-esteem and mental health.
The Mindful Education in High School Program is designed for students in 9th-12th grade. The lessons combine the physical practice of yoga, mindfulness techniques, and social-emotional concepts to deliver a curriculum that enhances students’ self-awareness, regulation, empathy,
and relationships.

Since CTC has come into our classroom, I have seen students venture outside of their zone by participating in yoga poses, mindfulness activities, and guided meditation. This has been remarkable because many of our students will not do things outside of comfort zones because they do not want to look foolish in front of peers. Many students only want to do things that are "safe" and when they do activities that are not "safe" for them, it is truly remarkable growth that we get to witness. Thanks to CTC for coming into the Alta Vista Campus and doing this for the students!
