COURSE DESCRIPTION
Establishing daily classroom routines has been shown to actively engage students, foster trust, and promote learning across all levels. In this course, we seamlessly integrate yoga and mindfulness practices with Monica Dunbar's innovative approach to Morning Meetings and Closing Circles.
Morning meetings and closing circles offer educators a structured daily well-being ritual, facilitating emotional regulation and forging authentic connections with each student, recognizing their unique personalities, experiences, and backgrounds.
The primary objectives of this course are to empower both teachers and students to:
Foster genuine kindness and establish authentic connections through co-regulation
Develop and implement effective emotional regulation techniques
Cultivate self-esteem and confidence
By re-imagining how you begin and conclude each school day, you will create an environment where students feel truly acknowledged, comprehended, and cherished. This approach fosters a sense of belonging, safety, and acceptance in your classroom.
