Last week at Challenge to Change we had a YogArt camp for Minis. It went from noon until 3 p.m. and just like the other “big kid” camps, we had little Monet’s and Picasso’s.
Miss Krissy taught yoga with AMAZING energy – I envy her!
The kids worked with air-dry clay to make things that were important to them or things that they were grateful for. We had a lot of rainbows and sunshine’s made.
They also made a tie-dye mandala with Sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol – such a neat idea! Luckily the rain held off just long enough!
The kids also worked with fabric markers to decorate their kids Yogart camp shirts.
For the yoga portion the kids played freeze yoga and learned new poses from Ms Molly’s memory card game & yoga decks! The yogis loved the ‘I am Yoga’ song and sending Love Whooshes to their families and friends.
The days were short but I hope this camp left a lasting impression on them to be good yogis and “leave the world better than they found it!”
